IKS Korinar

From Bravo Fleet

IKS Korinar (IKS-129) is a B'rel-class starship of the Klingon Empire currently assigned to Fourth Fleet under a cross-command exchange program.

History

The Korinar entered service in the mid-2350’s with the House of Miras. She remained under the command of Iskai, leader of the House of Miras, for many years until first officer Raaith was promoted to HoD and took command.

Exchange Program Service

In late 2402, the Korinar was assigned to the cross-command exchange program between the Klingon Empire and Starfleet. Assigned to the Canterbury Division, she joined the division’s survey of the Ceryne System in the Shackleton Expanse.

Design & Capabilities

Configuration

For the article, see B'rel-class.

The Korinar is an older B'rel-class-class Bird of Prey which has been upgraded many times over the years to keep up with technological advances.

Several adjustments have been made to the crew quarters, leading to an unusual configuration of rooms, with some double berth and single cabins (at least one having been constructed from a former storage closet).

Of particular note is the galley, the main communal area for the crew, which is slightly larger than usual for the class, with a sweeping mural of the Korinar in combat done by a previous member of the crew. There are several other, smaller murals throughout the ship, courtesy of the same aspiring artist. This has led to newcomers to the ship being given directions via murals rather than deck listings.

Cultural Notes

The Korinar has a great history with Klingon Opera, with several notable names having served on the ship over the years.
