USS Riverside
USS Riverside (NCC-75579) is a California-class Federation starship currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 47 for the supply of outposts in the Thomar Expanse. It is currently under the command of Captain Kara Wynn. The Riverside supplys the outposts of the Thomar Expanse on a regular basis and answers any hails for technical or scientific assistance. It regularly resupplies at Deep Space 47 and undertakes voyages into the Expanse of a few weeks at a time. With its extended cargo bays and reinforced hull integrety it is ideally fitted for this mission profile in a dangerous area of space.
History
Commissioned in 2394, the USS Riverside began its service as a reliable workhorse of the California class fleet. Since then it undertook resupply missions and logistic operations across Federaction core sectors. For the better part of a decade, the Riverside built a reputation as a dependable starship. While the California class might be seen as a stepping stone by many members of Starfleet, a core part of the lower decks crew developed close camraderie and is working on the USS Riverside to this day.
At the end of 2401, the USS Riverside had been called to dock for an overhaul and routine maintenance ending its deployment to the Federation core sectors. After three weeks in drydock, the USS Riverside got assigned to Task Force 47 and carries out its mission in the Thomar Expanse with a new command team.
