Wargames

Wargames is an annual club-wide event that brings members of Bravo Fleet together through a series of team-based competitions. First introduced in 2025, Wargames differs from traditional Fleet Actions by dividing the active membership into teams/squadrons through a sports-style draft system, rather than having members compete as part of their usual task forces. The event focuses on friendly competition, participation and encouraging members to interact with others from across the organisation. Wargames are organised by the Bravo Fleet Commanding Officer, who organises and oversees the competitions and the draft. Members of the Bravo Fleet Senior Staff become Co-Captains and/or are drafted into teams/squadrons.

Unlike Fleet Actions and Campaigns, Wargames does not feature an overarching storyline. Instead, members compete in a range of short, accessible competitions across two phases, with points contributing towards their team’s overall standing. At the conclusion of the event, both the winning team and the highest-scoring individual members are recognised.

Structure

Wargames are organised around a number of competing squadrons, each led by two co-captains. Before the event begins, the co-captains select members through a round-robin draft system, with the order of selection determined by a dice roll on Discord. The draft continues until all active members have been allocated to a squadron, with new members joining during the event assigned according to the continuing draft rotation.

The squadron colours were originally based on the two primary colours of the Bravo Fleet logo: Bravo Blue (#2864A8) and Bolt Gold (#D3A92C). These colours were used to establish Blue Squadron and Gold Squadron during the inaugural Wargames in 2025. Silver Squadron was subsequently introduced in 2026 as part of the expansion from two competing squadrons to three.

Each Wargames event consists of two phases of competitions, covering a variety of activities designed to be accessible and relatively quick to complete. Members earn points for submitting valid entries, with additional points awarded for placing in competitions. The points earned by individual members contribute towards their squadron's overall score, with the squadron accumulating the highest total declared the winner. Individual standings are also recognised, with the highest-scoring members receiving additional rewards.

Wargames 2402

14 September 2025 to 29 September 2025

The inaugural Wargames 2402 introduced a new competitive format to Bravo Fleet, replacing the traditional task force-based rivalry with two drafted squadrons, Blue Squadron and Gold Squadron. Members competed across two phases of short competitions, establishing the foundations for what would become an annual club-wide event.

Wargames 2403

19 September 2026 to 5 October 2026

The second annual Wargames 2403 expanded the format introduced the previous year, increasing the number of competing squadrons from two to three with the addition of Silver Squadron. The event retained its sports-style draft system and two-phase competition structure, with Silver Squadron emerging as the overall winning team.
