Part of Starfleet's rebuilding process after the Dominion war, the USS Resolute was one of many Diligent-class ships brought into service. With a more compact size but excellent combat capabilities, the Resolute is often assigned to missions on the Federation's borders, most usually patrol missions or escort duties where a higher combat capability is required.
