The USS Cobb is a Reliant-class frigate that currently serves in the Fourth Fleet's Task Force 21. The Cobb is primarily assigned to operate out of Starbase 21 as a multi-role starship performing local patrols and supporting the colonial logistics of the area.

History

The Cobb was commissioned in 2400 with the intent of it being assigned to Starbase 21 upon the station's commissioning. Shortly after its commissioning, the Cobb participated in Frontier Day.

After Frontier Day, the Cobb was recrewed and subsequently voyaged to its original assignment. The Cobb spent the time until Starbase 21 became operational by patrolling the area surrounding Izar. Once the station came online, the ship was assigned to Starbase 21 as an attached ship, performing any duties that the station required.

Namesake

The Cobb derives its name from Molly Cobb, the first female astronaut to step foot on Mars during the Ares missions.

In Play

• The Cobb is attached to Starbase 21, and is largely crewed by the same people. That being said, it is an easy ship to incorporate into stories in the area similar to how the Enterprise was always running into old Mirandas.
