Restored to active duty from the mothball fleet, the Typhon-class carrier, USS Prophyrion is tasked with supporting border patrol, commerce escort and interdiction missions along the former DMZ. Acting as a mobile base of operations after the destruction of Terminus station, the Prophyrion and her fighters are spread thin in their efforts to counter the warring True Way and New Marquis factions, keeping the activity of raiders and smugglers in check and providing a steady Federation presence along the borders of the Cardassian Union.
Able to provide respite for the crews of Starfleet's smaller vessels, the USS Prophyrion is able to offer R&R to escorts, smaller frigates and surveyors whilst their vessels are resupplied and replenished.
Home to four squadrons of Valkyrie - class starfighters & a Search & Rescue flight, the launch & retrieval decks of the Prophyrion are a constant hive of activity with the pilots and deck crews working alongside the carrier's own crew.

Assigned to carrier escort duty, the Ross-class explorer USS Vanguard supports the Prophyrion's mission of patrol and border security within the former DMZ and around the Bajoran Wormhole, acting as part of the defensive picket screen and providing the exploratory, humanitarian and diplomatic services of an explorer.
The Division was disbanded in 2403 with the reorganisation of assets.
