The Fourth Fleet Expeditionary Group is a collection of starships assigned to the Fourth Fleet but not to a particular task force. These ships undertake a wide variety of missions across the galaxy that don't necessarily fit neatly into the mandate of one of the fleet's other units. The composition of this group varies widely based on the fleet's needs and it includes nearly every class of starship. These ships report directly to the Chief of Fourth Fleet Operations.

Current Starships

  • USS Altai, a Steamrunner-class light cruiser assigned to frontier support in the Alpha Quadrant
  • USS Apollo, a Rhode Island-class scout assigned to the Delta Quadrant
  • USS Armstrong, an Intrepid-class light explorer assigned to long-range missions in the Beta Quadrant
  • USS Avenger, a Defiant-class escort assigned to patrol missions near Romulan Space
  • USS Cygnus, a Nebula-class heavy cruiser
  • USS Hippocrates, an Olympic-class medical ship
  • USS Reliant, a Reliant-class light cruiser
  • USS Shanghai, a Galaxy-class explorer assigned to long-range missions in the Alpha Quadrant
  • USS Spartan, a Saber-class frigate assigned to colonial support

Main Article: Avalon Fleet Yards

The primary fleet yard used by the Fourth Fleet is Avalon Fleet Yards, where major construction and repair of Fourth Fleet starships occurs. There are a number of vessels there in the late stage of refits that are being prepared to serve in the Expeditionary Group, pending the assignment of new commanding officers.

  • USS Ares, an Intrepid-class light explorer
  • USS Europa, a Luna-class light explorer
  • USS Kennedy, a Norway-class light cruiser configured for diplomatic operations
  • USS Sagan, a Nova-class escort

The Expeditionary Group In-Play

  • In Bravo Fleet, RPGs are not housed within our Task Forces. They operate independently, which allows them to adapt their premise as necessary to explore the full width and breadth of the Star Trek universe.
  • These ships would never operate as a single unit; it's just the designation for independent vessels that report directly to the Chief of Fleet Operations.
