The USS Osiris is a Reliant-class frigate that was designed as the heir to the much-vaunted Miranda-class line of ships. These ships are intended to be Starfleet's go anywhere and do anything design as they can full fill 80% of expected mission packages.

Currently the Osiris is part of Fourth Fleet's Task Force 47 assigned to the Thomar Expanse. Her duties include but are not limited to patrols, escort missions, light scientific and exploration duties, and light diplomatic duties to establish ties with the inhabitants of the expanse.

The Ship Tour

Captain’s Ready Room

The Captains Ready Room sits on the starboard side of the Osiris. The entrance sits in a small alcove at the end of the engineering consoles. Due to the shape of the Reliant-class bridge deck the room is longer than it is wide and has a very slight angle that follows the deck outline towards the stern.

Since the ship was new and this was the first crew onboard, Lt. Cmdr Kr’Antren decided that he wanted to decorate his ready room using metal, leather, glass and in muted earth tones. The furniture pieces, including his desk, are pieces he found in an antique store in San Francisco. These pieces are what was called airliner furniture in the late 20th and early 21st Centuries and have been cleaned and reupholstered to their original look.

Currently the room has two sections divided by open shelving. The forward section is the captain's workspace holding a circular desk, the captain's chair and two chairs in front of the desk. The desk sits against the forward wall with the desk facing toward the shelving room divider.

Notable decorations include two bat’leths given to the commander by Dr. M’Gok. These are displayed in the shelving wall unit. On the wall behind the captain's desk are charcoal art pieces of each of the ships to hold the Osiris name.

The aft section has a small two-person couch with two chairs and a glass and metal coffee table. The aftmost wall holds book and display shelving. The room's replicator is located in this section on the inside wall, the outside wall has three viewing panels.

Cairo Briefing Room (Bridge/command staff briefing room)

The Cairo Briefing Room is located on the other side of the bridge's main view screen, it can be entered through one of two doors on either side of the view screen. The room is situated towards the front of deck one so includes three viewing panels that look out over the forward saucer section of the Osiris.

The room includes the staff table centrally located. The table is triangular in shape with a flattened tip where the captain's and first officer's chairs are positioned. Four chairs line the two legs of the table as the “bottom” of the table faces the room's view screen which is located on the back side of the wall to the bridge.

The wall to the captain's right holds the ship's lineage busts. These are done in copper. The wall to his left holds the awards and commendations that the ship and its crew have earned and currently there are two framed parchments hung on the wall. The table itself is made from oak and with an inlay of cherry and managing woods that show the Osiris flying by a planet. It has a holoprojector mounted in the center. Each chair has a small built-in console to be used during briefings.
