Its mission is to maintain balance: to explore the unknown, reduce rising tensions, protect vulnerable worlds, and contain threats. Where traditions clash and old alliances weaken, the Lancelot Squadron works to uphold the Federation ideals that define it.

- Humanitarian & Crisis Response: Provide medical aid, evacuations, and relief to affected colonies, assist during destabilization events
- Security & Defense: Monitor Romulan remnants and extremist Klingon Houses, ensure civilian safety, respond to emerging threats
