USS Cupertino is an California-class starship assigned to Fourth Fleet. She is currently under the command of Captain Saffiya Nassar.

Notable Crew

• Vivienne Claybrook - Coming from a family of successful Starfleet officers, Vivienne’s failed attempts at joining Starfleet Academy had always made her stand out – and not in a positive way. In her attempts to earn her parent’s recognition regardless, Vivienne tried herself in a number of different career paths and endeavours – the most recent one that of a journalist for the tabloid “Star Crossed”. When a mix-up gave her the opportunity to join the crew of the USS Cupertino on their next mission, Vivienne took her chance and is now trying to navigate her new normal.

• Hina Morishita - When her old ship, the USS Kongo, went into reserves, Hina followed the call of her old friend Saffiya to support her on the USS Cupertino. She hold currently no official position, but has the title of "engineering consult" which she can use as she sees fit.

• Captain Saffiya Nassar - Born in Cairo in 2362, Saffiya’s journey from engineering prodigy to First Officer aboard the USS Kongo was nothing short of remarkable. Fostering her natural leadership, she now seeks her own command, eager to lead her crew into uncharted territories and new adventures.

History

With several successful missions under her belt, the USS Cupertino and her crew seemed like the perfect ship for a new Captain. However, when Captain Saffiya Nassar took command after Captain Kahi Jurev's retirement, she couldn't help but notice that nothing was done by the book, and it remains unclear if prior missions were successful because, or despite this.
