Tucker Station
Tucker Station (AFY-02) is a Presidium-class station which is part of Avalon Fleet Yards orbiting Avalon III in the Avalon System. This station houses several research and design laboratories and provides housing for shipyard workers, who commute via shuttle or transporter to the various dry docks around the system.
Namesake & History
Tucker Station is named after Charles "Trip" Tucker III, the first Chief Engineering Officer of the Earth Starfleet vessel Enterprise, who was killed sacrificing himself to save the Enterprise in 2161. Tucker Station was built in 2374 to provide additional housing for shipyard personnel during the height of the Dominion War. It has maintained that role for the duration of its existence.
Organization & Senior Staff
Tucker Station is a medium-sized space station of a class that is often used for subsidiary starbases in large sectors or secondary stations for major commands like Avalon Fleet Yards. Independently, a station of this class is large enough to be commanded by a commodore, but as a sub-command of AFY, it has often been led by a commander or even lieutenant commander who reports to the Commander, Avalon Fleet Yards Orbital Assets.

Layout and Facilities
Presidium-class stations have a barbell shape with two semi-spherical modules joined together via a large interconnecting pylon. The two hemispheres have four hangers capable of handling Raven-class corvettes and smaller vessels, and have four runabout pads. These hemispheres contain the majority of the station's long-term housing for yard workers and civilians on the lower five decks of the upper hemisphere and the upper five decks of the lower hemisphere. Additional crew are housed in the central spire.
Lower Modules
The four lower modules contain command, operations, medical, and engineering support facilities, including station operations. They also each have shuttle bays of their own. Tucker Station is in the standard configuration, with one module dedicated to each of these activities.
Upper Modules
The four upper modules are smaller, just ten decks high, and are each devoted to an individual research institute.
- Module A: Institute for Advanced Impulse Engine Design
- Module B: Institute for Observational Cosmology
- Module C: Vacant
- Module D: Vacant
Scott Station In-Play
- Scott Station is a sub-command of Avalon Fleet Yards, one of Bravo Fleet's sandboxes. This means that members can create characters on this station up to and including its commanding officer by advancing both in their fleet rank and in AFY's tier system, which is described in the AFY Guide. Members may also use Scott Station freely in their own fiction as a setting to visit without needing to write directly on the AFY Command.
- This is a station approximately the size of Deep Space 9, but its function is mainly to serve as housing for people who work in the shipyard.
- Members who are proposing institutes may request to use one of the vacant modules as the setting of their story.
