Delta IV and IX are planets located in the Delta System and are member worlds of the United Federation of Planets. It is a unary star system composed of nine planets located in the Alpha Quadrant and home to the native species Deltans. Delta IV, or more simply referred to as Delta, is the main homeworld of the Deltans. Delta IX remains a commercial transport hub for the system.

Overview

Most non-commercial activity within the Delta system takes place at Delta IV, a lush and advanced world containing a populus of over 3.5 billions Deltans. A member system of the United Federation of Planets for many years, Delta is rich, vibrant and well resourced.

An Aurora-class spacedock named Delta Station sits in orbit of Delta IX, where much of the commerce and business activities take place in the system. The Deltans made a conscious decision to separate, as much as possible, the commercial activities that take place in Delta System from their homeworld. It was a move done to preserve the natural and lucious state of their homeworld. This choice has left the Delta homeworld with minimal defenses compared to Delta IX.

The Deltans have established several notable psychiatric treatment and psychological wellness centres on Delta IV. Leveraging their own powerful psionic abilities and coupled with their alluring pheromones, they can make effective psychiatrists/psychologists. Their most famous facility, Ilia Wellness Retreat, is renowned for treating substance abuse disorders.

Given the Deltans’ open and comfortable societal attitudes towards sexuality and intimacy, there are also many more niche pleasure-focused facilities, too. This drives a different tourist trade to the system, one focused around sex work - legal, but definitively rooted in Deltan society.

• Delta has been a member of the United Federation of Planets for many years. The system is well resourced and advanced.

• The Deltan homeworld (Delta IV) is lush, vibrant and really is a picture of utopia.

• Delta IX is a smaller world and more industrial. It hosts the system’s spacedock and most of the commerce activity.

• Across Delta IV there are various well known psychiatric treatment and psychological wellness centres.
