}}The USS Heracles is an Argonaut-class starship assigned to Task Force 72. It is currently under the command of Captain Vausees Vax.
Missions
Starbase 11
Establish a Federation presence by patrolling the space between the Cardassian and Klingon borders. USS Heracles ended up finding out about a deep corruption; between a Federation Captain Munez and a Vice Admiral Bettencourt. Both ended up being brought up on charges of Treason.
Archanis Operations
The USS Heracles is ordered to the Federation-Klingon border in response to a rogue Klingon faction known as "The Hunters of D'Ghor." The USS Heracles responds to a distress beacon on Archanis V, where a D'Ghor fleet has bombarded the local populace from orbit. The D'Ghor fleet is not in orbit or in the area when the crew of the USS Heracles arrives.

While on the surface, the USS Heracles is attacked by a smaller fleet of D'Ghor ships, three Birds-of-Prey, one of which is commanded by Captain Klothost K'gox and named Khoshtom. The Heracles has been severely damaged and must flee to Deep Space K-7, leaving the ship's Captain, Vausees Vax, and an away team led by her stranded on the surface. Lieutenant Commander Trever Nief is now in command of the Heracles and serves as Acting Captain.
The USS Endeavour NCC-91502 is an Obena Class starship assigned to the Fourth Fleet under the command of Captain Matt Rourke. In late-2399, Endeavour was attached to a diplomatic mission to the Neutral Zone to further Federation interests in the region and develop stronger relations with the Romulan Star Empire and Romulan Republic.

During the time Vausees and the away team are stranded, they come across the colony's survivors, led by a woman named Sara. Later, the survivors and the away team are attacked by a D'Ghor ground force that has been transported to the surface, while the survivors and the away team are held up in a building.
Design and Layout
Expected to take point on diplomatic operations in a fraught region of space, Endeavour has been outfitted to defend herself against the threats of the Neutral Zone and Starfleet's enemies in the region, but more importantly with the facilities to represent the Federation by hosting summits and providing relief to the many stricken refugees.

Captain Vausees and the away team fight the D'Ghor from the rooftop in support of Sara and the remaining survivors. Captain Vausees and Ensign Zyvia descended to the building's second floor. While defending the second floor from the D'Ghor, a lone Klingon, named Atsak Runtoh of house Runtoh announced himself to be the Commander of the ground forces and a Captain for the Hunters of D'Ghor. Vausees is given an ultimatum by the Klingon Captain to leave or face further attack from the D'Ghor ground forces. Vausees declines and the Klingon Captain is transported off the planet a short time later after Vausees warns him, with a phaser rifle bolt into the ground at his feet.
At Captain Rourke's behest, refits were undertaken to install a Combat Information Centre the like of which was aboard her predecessor, harnessing the greater space and resources of an Obena. This necessitated a larger Strategic Operations staff. Likewise, modifications were made to the Security Department's section to ensure facilities were installed for Endeavour's Hazard Team.

A short time later, the ruined city was bombarded by the D'Ghor fleet, which was high in orbit above Archanis V. Captain Vausees Vax and Commander Trance Nief were both injured during the bombardment. Commander Trance Nief, sadly, perished as a result of her injuries. When Vausees discovered this, she was devastated, and it also enraged her. She questioned the honor of the rogue Klingon Captain, prompting him to transport himself and two attack units to the surface of Archanis V. While on the surface, Vausees and the remaining survivors, as well as the away team, fought off the attack units until Atsak appeared.
The Safe House
The main lounge and bar aboard Endeavour, the Safe House is expected to act not just as a leisure space for the crew, but to host gatherings with guests that could include diplomats and dignitaries. As such, it has been designed for comfort and entertainment, with floor-panels of real maple and brass-coloured fixtures to give the establishment a warm, welcoming feel helped by gentle lighting. Seating is a mixture of comfortable booths that can provide a limited privacy or even intimacy, and tables on the main floor that are cleared away when more space is needed.

Acting Captain Trever Nief had the USS Heracles repaired, rearmed, and refitted with Valkyrie fighters during this time. He returned the Heracles to Archanis V and attacked the D'Ghor fleet in orbit, crippling all but one vessel as it fled.
Staff are a mixture of holograms overseen by several real shift leaders and their manager, whose attire matches the décor to invoke something of the feel of a 1920s speakeasy. This aesthetic is matched by the music from a holographic band on the main stage, though the space is sometimes used for live performances by crewmembers. The Safe House can swing between an atmosphere of a bustling party to a more intimate buzz, but the nature of the Starfleet life and its shift patterns means it always feels like a place to catch up over bar snacks and a drink, or at least a coffee.

Captain Vausees informed Atsak of this information, and the D'Ghor captain was forced to surrender. Atsak conceded defeat. Commander Zazzuit apprehended him after Captain Vax collapsed from her injury. She was transported to Sickbay, where she is currently stable.
Auxiliary Craft
Some of the auxiliary craft from the previous Endeavour were recovered, and Rourke retained and expanded the naming conventions of before, shuttles and runabouts named after the mythical court of Camelot. Rather than retain the full complement of smallcraft for an Obena, a quartet of fighters have been installed, deployed for ceremonial escort duties as much as patrol and scouting missions.

The colonists of Archanis V were informed that the Fourth Fleet would be in contact with them on a regular basis to ensure that no further attacks occurred.

History

The USS Endeavour was originally commissioned as the Tianwen, one of the last waves of Obena-class ships constructed in the 24th century. As the United Federation of Planets began to reconsider its isolationist policies after the Coppelius incident of mid-2399, the construction of more ships capable of conducting missions of diplomacy and exploration was ordered. With the Obenas originally designed in the years after the Dominion War to evoke the prestige of Starfleet's more peaceful eras, a new construction order was logical.

The Tianwen had an uneven birth. An error by programmers slowed the development of her bio-neural circuitry, a delay that cost the Tianwen the anticipated choice for commanding officer, as Captain Dorain accepted assignment to Starfleet Science instead. She was considered a choice for First Secretary Sophia Hale's diplomatic expedition to the Neutral Zone, but without a captain or selected crew, the duty remained with Hale's first choice, the Manticore-class USS Endeavour.

When Endeavour was damaged by sabotage at the hands of the Romulan Rebirth Movement and decommissioned, Admiral Alexander Beckett stepped in to secure the Tianwen for the Neutral Zone operation. At his behest she was renamed Endeavour, with the admiral arguing the continuity sent a message to those who opposed Starfleet's involvement in the region. The surviving crew of the previous Endeavour were assigned to the new ship, including commanding officer Captain Rourke, and further personnel selected to bolster her ranks.

As of December 2399, Endeavour has entered the Romulan Neutral Zone to begin relief missions, on occasion in cooperation with the Romulan Star Empire or Romulan Republic, for the refugee worlds that have mostly stood alone for a decade and a half.
