The USS Cygnus (NCC-71954) is a Nebula-class heavy cruiser currently assigned to the Fourth Fleet's Challenger Squadron. Captain Sofia Vestri was given command of the Cygnus after a few turbulent years for the ship which saw three commanding officers in two years. It's hoped that the experienced Captain Vestri will prove to be a stabilising influence and allow the crew to put the past few difficult years behind them.
