Guide:BFMS Commands
More actions
The BFMS Commands guide is intended to help you navigate all of the features of the BFMS's Command system, ranging from setting up your manifest to filling out each of the fields correctly.
Purchasing a Command
Commands, also known as Registry Items, are restricted by their prestige price and are made available through the Fleet Marketplace. To see what is available at which prestige prices, please consult with the Logistics Office Policy. All purchases for Commands are evaluated by the Logistic Office to ensure that they comply with our policies. As a note, approval is generally completed within 24 hours, so please refrain from asking for updates until that period has elapsed.
- To purchase a request, visit the Fleet Marketplace.
- A member will submit a form on the BFMS that will send that transaction to the Logistics Office for processing.
- Please note:
- a purchase request should not be considered a guarantee that the request will be granted, as staff must confirm eligibility.
- Purchase requests will be processed in the order in which they are received, and should two members request the same registry item, the second member to make their request will have it denied.
- Pre-empting the purchase approval process (such as by creating wiki content, ordering graphics, or referencing the new item in a story) other than as necessary to create a proposal for the Intelligence Office for a custom station, are grounds for denying a purchase request.
- Please note:
- Once the LO has processed your request, it will appear on your Command page. From here you can edit the command to include a brief summary of your Command, add the crew, etc.
- If you wish to purchase additional Commands, you will need to first be at the rank of captain first, as at this point a secondary command slot will be opened for you. You can purchase an additional Command, following the same process as above.
- Once a member becomes a fleet captain, they are able to purchase additional command slots, allowing for more Commands to be purchased.
Returning a Command
When wishing to return a particular Command to the Command Registry, a member can either request the following:
- Trade in the Command and get refund (the Logistics Office Policy states how much of a refund)
- Trade in the Command and replace with another Command (the old Command will be refunded against the cost of the new Command).
A member can also request a change in the Command's class.
Editing a Command
Once purchased a Command can be edited and personalised by a member. This can be accessed by going to the Command's page and using the Edit button. Edits include:
- Adding a Header and Header Overlay (title)
- You can personalise the Header layout
- Including your crew's manifest
- You can decide on the Manifest layout, either in a table or cards layout
- A teaser/brief description for your ship.
- About section - include a description/summary about your ship
BFMS will automatically create a link to your Command's BF Wiki page. The Logistic Office will create/update your Command's BF Wiki page after purchase has been approved.
