The Bravo Fleet Gaming Office is the gaming arm of Bravo Fleet, handling all video gaming, party games events and tabletop RPG actions within the fleet. The Gaming Office works as the part of Bravo Fleet that takes various games completion and works them into a format that is compatible with the structure of Bravo Fleet, in the form of gaming ribbons for participation and competitions that can also help with participation.

Section 1 - General Guidelines

Supported Games

• Bravo Fleet has two officially supported games with an online presence in game:
  • Star Trek Online (PC and XBox; no official fleet on PlayStation but content can be submitted)
  • World of Warships (PC only)
• Each supported game will have specific information listed in its own Section of this policy.
• In addition to the above games, members can participate in multiplayer games that are not officially supported games. We do not have assets officially in any other game, but if you want to join up with a group of people, you can use the [4BF] tag we use officially to show pride in Bravo Fleet if you so choose.
• Participation in an official Bravo Fleet gaming fleet/clan is optional, but encouraged. Some promotion milestones have joining a Bravo Fleet gaming fleet/clan as an achievable target; you can check with the Rank Guidelines for more details.
• Adding in another supported game is a big endeavor, and one we should all do with both eyes open and a clear purpose. General guidelines include:
  • The game has to either have a low barrier to entry for a new player or a sufficiently high player base already present in Bravo Fleet to be considered;
  • There has to be the ability to take a screenshot to determine whom is present in a gaming session; and
  • The game has to have the ability for people all over the world to join in on the same server/group.

Gaming Nights

• A Gaming Night is an event run by a member of Bravo Fleet which gathers other members for the purpose of playing a singular game.
• Any member of Bravo Fleet is free to run a Gaming Night with other Bravo Fleet members.
• The person that is organizing a Gaming Night needs to either create an event in Discord for the event they wish to run, or ask a Gaming Officer to create an event on their behalf.
• It is the responsibility of the organizer of the Gaming Night to submit the results in the BFMS Gaming Submissions form for each Gaming Night run. Criteria for submitting:
  • There must get a screenshot that shows all participants in a gaming lobby before the round begins or a score screen at the end of a round for each round of a game played
  • Each participant must be listed in the text description with:
    • The participant's BFMS ID
    • The participant's in-game ID
    • The number of games the participant attended

Awards

• All Bravo Fleet members can submit for completion through the BFMS, just like the writing side. However, content screenshots are the way to gain participation with gaming, and these must be submitted through the Gaming Submissions form in the BFMS, in order to earn gaming ribbons.
• Gaming has three primary gaming ribbons that you can earn:
  • Campaign Ribbons are for actions that qualify as major milestones in officially supported games. This can include fully levelling a character or unlocking in-game content.
  • Strategic Action Ribbons are meant for actions taken as a solo member of Bravo Fleet in a supported game. This can include playing pick-up group content.
  • Combat Action Ribbons are meant for actions taken as a group of Bravo Fleet members. This can be done as a formal part of a supported game, or a party game that is hosted by a Bravo Fleet member.

Communication

• Bravo Fleet's official Discord server is the primary communication method for coordination of gamers, and we encourage your participation there. Remember, the general rule is that content on the Discord server is 13+.
• In-game chat can also be used to communicate with Bravo Fleet members and this is a valuable tool for many. However you will find a better response rate on Discord.
• If you are participating as a Bravo Fleet member, please keep a sportsmanlike attitude throughout and keep gaming language competitive but friendly. Gaming in certain corners of the Internet has a reputation of having toxic traits, including but not limited to: excluding language, racism, sexism, and threats of violence. All of this is not allowed through any communications channels.
  • Failure to adhere to this part of the policy can result in a referral to the Magistrate Office.

Section 2 - Star Trek Online

• Bravo Fleet has established a presence in Star Trek Online for fleet members to gather. You can find us in the following fleets:
  • "Bravo Fleet" for Federation aligned characters on the PC platform
  • "House of yo' loS" for Klingon aligned characters on the PC platform
  • "Alteran Royal Navy Bravo Fleet" for Federation aligned characters on the XBox platform
• Bravo Fleet's STO groups have an invitational system, where you have to request entry. This is done on the Discord server through the #sto-invites channel.
• The only activity requirement we have is that your character logs in once in a six month period in order to be considered in the in-game fleet.

Ranks and Access Permissions

• In game there are seven different ranks that Bravo Fleet members can be assigned. The in-game ranks do not match up with Bravo Fleet ranks.
• Crewman/Bekk, the most basic rank, is the automatic rank assigned to people when they first join. This is an administrative holding rank, meant for new joins that are not online when invited and for other administrative functions as needed.
• Junior Officers/Warriors is the second rank. This is where the majority of the membership will be. This rank gives permissions for provisioned ships, equipment and basic rights to the fleet to withdraw from the fleet bank and use chat functions within the game.
• Officers is the next rank. This is where most of the Bravo Fleet Command members are within the game, as expanded permissions are sometimes necessary for events.
• Senior Officers is the highest rank that can be achieved by any person outside of the Gaming Department. This is for people that have been helping with creating gaming nights and need a few extra permissions, like to create calendar events.
• The rest of the ranks are for the Gaming Office members and senior staff that need permissions for fleet related Charter reasons.
• Permissions within the fleet vary based on needs. All members of the Bravo Fleet STO groups have access to:
  • Purchase from provisioned fleet stores and utilize fleet shipyards
  • Access to fleet holdings
  • Ability to invite non-members to fleet holdings
  • Limited access to the Fleet Bank
• All other permissions are directed at the discretion of the Gaming Office.

Awards

Campaign Ribbons

• Campaign Ribbons is a special ribbon and can be awarded for:
  • Reaching Level 65 with a single character within Bravo Fleet
  • Completing a special requirement in a competition
• There are no special modifiers that can apply
• A qualifying screenshot for this can be showing your character at Level 65 on the character selection screen

Strategic Action Ribbons

• Strategic Action Ribbons are meant for completing events within a team that does not have another Bravo Fleet member present.
• Actions that can gain you Strategic Action Ribbons:
  • Completing a Special Task Force/Task Force Operation
  • Completing Event Progress for a STO Special Event
• You can submit for a maximum of 20 Strategic Action Ribbons per day.

Combat Action Ribbons

• Combat Action Ribbons are meant for completing events within a team that does have two or more Bravo Fleet members present, including yourself.
• Actions that can gain you Combat Action Ribbons:
  • Completing a Special Task Force/Task Force Operation
  • Completing Event Progress for a STO Special Event
  • Completing Patrol missions
  • Completing story content
• You can submit for a maximum of 50 Combat Action Ribbons per day.

Section 3 - World of Warships

• Bravo Fleet has established a presence in World of Warships. You can find us under the tag [4BF] in game, by the name of "4th Fleet - Bravo Fleet".

Section 4 - Other Games

• The Gaming Office recognizes that there are more games out there than just the ones listed in the sections of this document that fleet members like to play.
• This may include:
  • Party games, such as Among Us, Jack series
  • Multiplayer video games, such as Stellaris, Elite Force and Bridge Commander
  • Tabletop RPGs, such as Star Trek Adventures or Dungeons & Dragons
• You may count the usage that you do towards these games towards Bravo Fleet gaming submissions for ribbons. However, these will have vastly different award structures than officially supported games.
  • Campaign Ribbons will not be awarded for any game other than an officially supported game from above.
  • Strategic Action Ribbons will not be awarded, as the point of this section of games is to play with other members of Bravo Fleet together and the point of the Strategic Action Ribbon is for playing as a single member of Bravo Fleet in a game.

Party Games

• Party games are classified as any game that has a drop in or out type play structure that does not require a large time commitment. This can include games that work best on mobile phones but also can include party card games or trivia style games.
• These are always organized in advance as part of a Gaming Night within Bravo Fleet.

Combat Action Ribbons

• As the Combat Action Ribbon is meant as a ribbon to be given for group Bravo Fleet activities, this is the primary award for party games.
• You can submit for a maximum of 50 Combat Action Ribbons per day.
