The USS Challenger is a Galaxy-class explorer currently assigned to the Gamma Quadrant. Challenger has been under the command of Captain Thomas Forrester since 2399.
Auxiliary Craft
The Challenger boasts a compliment of eighteen auxiliary vessels, fourteen shuttles and four runabouts. The runabouts are stored in the main shuttlebay on deck 4 while the shuttles are split across all three of the Challenger's shuttlebays. The runabouts embarked on board the Challenger are named for mountains of the United Kingdom while the shuttles are named for provinces of the British Isles.
