Section 1 - General
The Bravo Fleet Gaming Office provides a list of all currently available Gaming Platforms, Game Modes, and Modifiers. The three awards available through Bravo Fleet are the Combat Action Ribbon (for cooperative play with other Bravo Fleet members), the Strategic Action Ribbon (for solo play as a member of Bravo Fleet), and the Campaign Ribbon (for large gaming achievements).
All gaming activities are submitted with screenshots to verify validity, via the BFMS. For the sake of awards, all awards earned will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
Section 2 - Star Trek Online
Star Trek Online is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game from Cryptic Games based in the Star Trek Universe. It is a quasi-alternate reality game, set in the 2409-2411 era with its own distinct storyline that does not completely mesh with the newest offerings of Star Trek media. Like most of the Star Trek games, there is a higher combat focus than what is seen on-screen, and for better or worse it is a worthwhile game to pick up.
As it is a not highly resource intensive game for PCs, it is a good starting point for people interested in gaming within Bravo Fleet.
The game can be accessed directly from the Arc Games website, Cryptic’s game launcher, found here: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online. It is also available in the Epic Games Store and on Steam.
STO Fleets
As a fleet, Bravo Fleet has a strong presence with the PC version of Star Trek Online and has established two fleets there in order to serve our membership. At this time, Bravo Fleet does not have a presence on the PlayStation or XBox Star Trek Online, though this may change in the future depending on the popularity of the platforms within our membership.
On the PC platform, we are listed on the Federation side as "Bravo Fleet", while on the Klingon side we are listed on the Klingon side as "House of yo loS'".
Fleet Holdings
Bravo Fleet’s fleet holdings are worked on by our current and past members, and we are proud to field the assets we have out to the current members of the Bravo Fleet STO fleets. The names of the places are not picked at random; they are places with names which pay homage to both Bravo Fleet’s past and the story told within Star Trek Online.
The Federation Bravo Fleet lists its assets as such:
- Fleet Starbase: Starbase Bravo
- Fleet Spire: Bravo Spire
- Fleet Dilithium Mine: Asteroid Base 565-Bravo-47
- Fleet Embassy: Ch'Haven Memorial Embassy
- Fleet Research Lab: Mannheim Temporal Research Kyana Annex
- Fleet K-13: Providence Fleet Yards
- Fleet Colony: Mellstoxx III
The Klingon House of yo loS lists its assets as such:
- Fleet Starbase: Klach D’Kel Bracht
- Fleet Spire: Spire loS
- Fleet Dilithium Mine: New Praxis
- Fleet Embassy: TBD
- Fleet Research Lab: Krenim Temporal Warfare Base
- Fleet K-13: TBD
- Fleet Colony: TBD
Please note that these are not set in stone. There has been a long-standing bug in STO where anyone with editing permissions, the keyboard input not only defaults to entering in a name for the fleet holding, but it has a tendency to take the fleet holding name from one holding and duplicate the name to other assets. The names above are more for us to have an easy reference to make sure the assets have a consistent name we can return to in the event the names are erased.
Fleet Bank
The Fleet Bank is an asset that members can contribute to as a whole. The goal is to get characters equipped the best, in order to strengthen all of us as a whole and not just as individual players.
The fleet banks in both fleets are broken up as such:
- Deposit Only - This is for the depositing of all assets that the fleet leadership can then sort into different tabs
- Commodities - This tab is dedicated to standard commodities needed in duty officer missions and projects, such as Shield Generators, Provisions, and Medical Supplies
- Rare Commodities - This tab is dedicated to rare commodities that are known to give great bonuses when traded in; this covers green and blue quality commodities, such as Contraband and Tulaberries, but also can cover Summer and Winter Event currencies
- New Character Jumpstart - This tab is dedicated to items that would help with leveling a character: any equipment Mark X and below, preferably green quality or better
- Consumables - This tab is dedicated to consumables like batteries, hyposprays, regenerators and repair components.
- Space Purple+ Mk 12 - This tab is dedicated to space items of Mark XII, Very Rare quality or above
- Ground Purple+ Mk 12 - This tab is dedicated to ground items of Mark XII, Very Rare quality or above
- Special Events - This tab is storage dedicated to special giveaway items during fleet events.
Access to the bank tabs are restricted by rank, for good reason. Some players have been known to go fleet to fleet and clean out fleet banks, so in order to get high access to the bank we have to ensure access controls.
Withdraw limits are laid out in the Ranks section.
Membership
The Star Trek Online fleets have several levels of membership. Each level requires a minimum amount of activity, such as monthly donations to fleet projects within the Bravo Fleet fleet.
Because we want to keep a relatively accurate listing of who is involved and where, activity tracking will be utilized, and the more you contribute, the more you’ll be able to do within Star Trek Online with the fleet.
Having a character in the Bravo Fleet STO fleet requires three parts:
- A Star Trek Online character not in any fleet;
- A dossier on the Bravo Fleet website for tracking activity; and
- Access to the Discord server to ask for an invite
While not required, you can submit your Star Trek Online characters as characters on the Bravo Fleet website. Some people like to write out a story behind their character, and this is more than allowed. You can even share the written adventures on Relay Station Bravo (external URL https://forums.bravofleet.com/index.php?p=/categories/the-holodeck as a link). Writing within Bravo Fleet has never been a requirement of the Gaming Office, and will never be, but it can enhance the experience and is something you can take on if you so choose.
Each rank achieved in Star Trek Online is a per account basis. If you have one character in one of the Bravo Fleet fleets, you will only have one promoted. But if you have more than one in a Bravo Fleet group, all characters will advance to the same level. This rank does not translate over to the Bravo Fleet website ranking system, which is based on historical activity and has different ranking. We ask that if you put in member comments your current Discord user name, so we know who you are for easier management.
Rank 1 - Crewman
Crewman is the basic rank of the fleet and anyone joining would be immediately assigned to this. It does not necessarily mean that you are
As a crewman, you can enjoy the benefits of:
- Using fleet chats
- Having places to donate fleet marks and supplies
- Fleet bank access:
- Being able to draw up to ten items from the fleet Commodity bank per day;
- Being able to draw one item from the fleet Rare Commodity bank per day;
- Being able to draw up to two items from the fleet Consumables bank per day; and
- Being able to draw one item from the New Character Jumpstart bank per day
This is the starter rank for most members, and though this rank does not have activity requirements, logging in once every six months will guarantee a promotion to the next grade.
Rank 2 - Officer
An Officer is the second rank that can be achieved. This will be the bulk of the membership of Bravo Fleet's STO groups.
In addition to the base benefits, senior crewmen enjoy the benefits of:
- Expanded fleet bank access:
- Up to twenty items from the fleet Commodity bank per day;
- Up to five items from the fleet Rare Commodity bank per day;
- Up to five items from the fleet Consumables bank per day; and
- Up to four items from the fleet New Character Jumpstart bank per day
- Access to provisioned fleet stores
Most members are auto-promoted to Senior Crewman upon joining the STO fleet via an invite requested through the #sto-invites channel in Discord, but there are a few things you can do to keep the character in the Bravo Fleet STO group as an Officer:
- Filling out your Discord user name on your characters Roster user comments in-game
- Filling out your bravofleet.com profile with your STO name and handle per character you have in the Bravo Fleet STO group
- Log in at least once in a six month period
- Participate in the conversation in #star-trek-online on Bravo Fleet's Discord server
Rank 3 - Senior Officer
Senior Officer is the third rank that can be achieved in Bravo Fleet’s Star Trek Online groups.
In addition to what an Officer enjoys, Senior Officers enjoy the benefits of:
- Expanded bank access:
- Up to forty items from the fleet Commodity bank per day;
- Up to eight items from the fleet Rare Commodity bank per day;
- Up to ten items from the fleet Consumables bank per day;
- Up to four items from the fleet New Character Jumpstart bank per day; and
- Up to one item from each of the max level bank tabs per day
- Ability to invite non-members to fleet assets
Activity requirements include:
- Filling out your Discord user name on your characters Roster entry in the fleet
- Filling out your bravofleet.com profile with your STO name and handle per character you have in the Bravo Fleet STO group
- At least two Campaign Ribbons earned on the Bravo Fleet website historically
- Participation in at least one of the Star Trek Online gaming events
- A minimum rank on the Bravo Fleet website of Lieutenant Commander
Rank 4 - Mentors
As the highest rank one can achieve without being staff, a Mentor is asked to do so much more than other ranks. These are the mentors of the group, the people that we would ask to help those just joining, and therefore would be the people that would be willing and able to help in times of need.
In addition to the benefits from the previous ranks, Mentor enjoy the benefits of:
- Expanded bank access:
- Up to one hundred items from the fleet Commodity bank per day;
- Up to twenty items from the fleet Rare Commodity bank per day;
- Up to twenty items from the fleet Consumables bank per day;
- Up to four items from the fleet New Character Jumpstart bank per day; and
- Up to two items from each of the max level bank tabs per day
- Access to the Fleet Calendar for scheduling events
Activity requirements include:
- At least two Campaign Ribbons earned on the Bravo Fleet website historically
- A medal earned in at least one of the previous Star Trek Online gaming events
- A minimum rank on the Bravo Fleet website of Commander
Staff
The Bravo Fleet Gaming Office has several staff positions that are listed in order to assist with the smooth operation of the Bravo Fleet STO assets. These are reflected as administrative positions, and have expanded rights in order to manage the day to day aspects of the BF assets.
The positions are:
- Senior Advisors
- Gaming Officers
- Administration
Senior Advisors and Gaming Officers are in charge of slotting fleet projects and promoting people to ranks as required, and taking care of the day to day operations of the STO fleets. The Administration role is meant for the Bravo Fleet leadership to have a hand in the fleet as a contingency.
Awards
As part of Bravo Fleet STO groups, the gamers in Star Trek Online are entitled to a reward system that does work as part of the normal progression system within Bravo Fleet. This means that progression here can contribute to the rank attained on the Bravo Fleet website. This is meant as a way for gaming personnel to earn an equivalent of writing awards for spending time in the game as part of the group.
To submit for this ribbon is not done through the Awards Nominations interface, but the Gaming Nominations interface in the backend of the Bravo Fleet website, where a screenshot with certain criteria can be uploaded for proof of completion.
Completion screenshots for all content listed below should show:
- Completion of the content - can be the “Objective Completed”, a dialogue box going over the debriefing while still in the mission, or showing the rewards box active
- The team composition, which will list all characters in game
- Be identifiable what content it is
Special content requirement for each ribbon will list anything special that needs to be in the screenshot in addition to the above information.
Campaign Ribbon
The Campaign Ribbon is meant for major achievements in the game, and in Star Trek Online is awarded in cases of completing major milestones with a character. Currently the only major milestone is achieving the maximum level that a character can achieve (as of this writing, Level 65).
There are rare instances where a competition may award a bonus Campaign Ribbon due to the nature of the competition, and these are dependent on the competitions.
Strategic Action Ribbon
The Strategic Action Ribbon is the base ribbon that can be earned by a Bravo Fleet member. This is to show that time has been spent doing actions within Star Trek Online and is earned by going through parts of the game without any other member of Bravo Fleet. This can be awarded for Task Force Operations or for Star Trek Online special events.
A Task Force Operation, or TFO, is a Player vs Environment (PvE) queue that can be completed with a team. The ribbon for this would be awarded when you can present proof that the TFO was done with you as the only person from Bravo Fleet on your team. Each completed TFO submitted for a ribbon only qualifies for one ribbon.
Special events within Star Trek Online are a common trend for new content, where events launch several pieces of content. This can include new story pieces, revamped or remastered content, and sometimes just special times of the year where special content is available. A completion screenshot needs to include the drop, typically above the chat box in the default HUD layout, that says the completed action provides event progression.
Each completed qualifying action that progresses an event covers one ribbon for progressing an event by one day worth of content. This includes, if applicable for the event:
- Completion of a related story mission that is listed in the special event
- Completion of a qualifying TFO
- This does not stack with the above TFO ribbon
- Completion of one or two patrols, whichever updates the event progress for the full day
- This is solely depending on the event. Some events have special patrols that provide all the points earnable in the day, but * there are some events where a single patrol only provides one of the two points that updates event progression.
There may be bonuses for completion of certain content through gaming competitions, which will be listed for the competitions.

For Combat Action Ribbons, members are not required to be a part of any in-game Bravo Fleet fleet/armada in order to receive awards, however it is strongly encouraged. This does not apply to Strategic Action Ribbons or Campaign Ribbons, for which members are required to be a member of an in-game Bravo Fleet fleet/armada in order to receive these awards.

Section 3 - World of Warships
World of Warships is a game that we have added to expand the content that Bravo Fleet has to offer. It is available at worldofwarships.com
Bravo Fleet’s clan name in the game is 4th Fleet Bravo Fleet and the tag is [4BF].
Combat Action Ribbon
Combat Action Ribbons may be awarded for any match in World of Warships that has multiple Bravo Fleet members in a Division.
Modifiers:
- Mode
- Co-op battles: 1 (1x)
- Special event battle modes: 1.5 (1.5x)
- Random, Ranked or Operations battles: 2 (2x)

- 2-3 (2x)
Strategic Action Ribbon
At this time there is no plan to include Strategic Action Ribbons with World of Warships until we can gauge the popularity of the game within Bravo Fleet.
Campaign Ribbon
The Campaign Ribbon should be awarded for earning enough ship and free XP to purchase any Tier VI warship. This can be obtained for every tech tree that a Tier VI warship is purchased for, but only one ribbon per country’s tech tree.
Paying for a premium ship with Doubloons or any other in-game resource, or achieving a ship via free giveaway, will not count towards this ribbon.
Section 4 - Other Games
New gaming platforms for official Bravo Fleet submission by its members are evaluated by the Gaming Office all the time. If you would like to propose a new platform, contact the Gaming Office and we can review what qualifications are needed and the demand in the fleet for the game.
However, there are some games that can be played that do not have an official presence, or are games that can be only played as two or more people connecting together. As Bravo Fleet does encourage fleet members to come together, we would like to hear about these actions, through our Discord preferably.
Combat Action Ribbons
As a pilot, Combat Action Ribbons can be obtained for playing games with other Bravo Fleet members in games that are not officially sanctioned by Bravo Fleet, but can be proven with two or more people in the game together. This can be done by bringing up an in-game scoreboard, preferably at the end of a match, which shows gamer tags or names. Each person must be listed out with their gamer tag and their Bravo Fleet username for association.
- For Combat Action Ribbons, members are not required to be a part of any in-game Bravo Fleet guild/fleet/kin in order to receive awards, however it is strongly encouraged.
Base: 1.0 Combat Action Ribbons
Modifiers:
- Bravo Fleet members in group:
- 3+ BF Members in Group: x 2.0
Section 5 - General Guidelines
- Bravo Fleet's official Discord server can be used for communication and coordination of gamers, and we encourage your participation there.
- Falsifying gaming submissions is defined as a member tries to report matches that have not been played for personal gain of any gaming awards or to attempt to earn wins in a competition. Any and all suspected falsifications will be referred to the Magistrate’s Office.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated in Bravo Fleet. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in an initial warning, and may be followed by a ban, and eventually referral to the Magistrate’s Office if it continues. Unsportsmanlike conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Cursing at another member (not including cursing in general conversation, which should still be avoided)
- Demeaning talk to another member
- Demeaning talk to other gamers outside of our organization
- Talking negatively about a member in public to third parties
- Excessive gloating over a match
- Although unsportsmanlike conduct is prohibited, this policy is not meant to encourage members to report minor infractions. Someone being a sore loser (or winner) is not the same as being unsportsmanlike, and healthy competitive language is not penalized.
