* Bravo Fleet has established a presence in World of Warships for the PC only.
# Members may join the clan by searching for [4BF] or "4th Fleet - Bravo Fleet" and requesting to join in-game.
** The console version, World of Warships Legends, uses a different XP system and is not compatible with the PC version.
# Members in the clan may contribute oil from crates to the fleet base.
* You can find us under the tag [4BF] in game, by the name of "4th Fleet - Bravo Fleet", on the NA server which is closest to the majority of players.
# Members may earn gaming ribbons for World of Warships if they are not in the clan, but only on PC.
* World of Warships allows you to request access for the fleet, which you can search for, request, and then mention in the #world-of-warships channel on Discord that you have.

=== Ranks ===

* Everyone has the permission to contribute oil to the fleet base, which you obtain by opening crates.
* Rank does not necessarily matter too much in World of Warships at this point in time, as no formalized structure has been established.
** This may change in the future as the group grows.

#As indicated in Section 2, Sub-Section 2.3, groups members are welcome to play other multiplayer video games that are not officially supported by the Gaming Office, to earn Combat Action Ribbons for each completed action.
* The Gaming Office recognizes that there are more games out there than just the ones listed in the sections of this document that fleet members like to play.
##A completed action is defined as a completed round, game, match, or the equivalent that results in a score screen, leaderboard, or similar.
* This may include:
#Submissions for non-supported games are made through the BFMS in the same way as those for supported games.
** Party games, such as Among Us, Cards Against Humanity, and the Jack series quiz games
##There should only be one submission per group per action, with the submission clearly listing all of the members involved.
** Multiplayer video games, such as Stellaris, Elite Force and Bridge Commander
##Multiple actions with the same group of members playing the same game may be submitted together as a single submission.
** Tabletop RPGs, such as Star Trek Adventures or Dungeons & Dragons
#Combat Action Ribbons counts for each gaming submission are calculated with the following formula, using the values in the table below:
* You may count the usage that you do towards these games towards Bravo Fleet gaming submissions for ribbons. However, these will have vastly different award structures than officially supported games.
Number of Actions Submitted x Member Modifier = Total Ribbons
** Campaign Ribbons will not be awarded for any game other than an officially supported game from above.
{| class="wikitable" style="text-align:center;"
** Strategic Action Ribbons will not be awarded, as the point of this section of games is to play with other members of Bravo Fleet together and the point of the Strategic Action Ribbon is for playing as a single member of Bravo Fleet in a game.

* Party games are classified as any game that has a drop in or out type play structure that does not require a large time commitment. This can include games that work best on mobile phones but also can include party card games or trivia style games.

* These are always organized in advance as part of a Gaming Night within Bravo Fleet.

==== Combat Action Ribbons ====

* As the Combat Action Ribbon is meant as a ribbon to be given for group Bravo Fleet activities, this is the primary award for party games.
* All submissions for any party games must show in a screenshot the game's lobby for each of the rounds participated in, with BFMS IDs for each player clearly designated in both the dropdowns and, most importantly, the notes for the submission designating what nickname is used for which BFMS ID.

=== Multiplayer Video Games ===
* A multiplayer video game in this context is a game that requires a medium to large time commitment that does not fall under any one of the supported games already listed in a section of this policy.
* As games sometimes require you to "clan up" or you may get recruitment messages from other groups and wish to avoid it, you may use [4BF] in a game to signify membership within Bravo Fleet.
* This is most commonly an ad-hoc gaming style, so no need for a Gaming Night, though you may want to use one to organize some matches; contact any member of the Gaming Staff and we can help with this.
==== Combat Action Ribbons ====
* These types of games can net you a Combat Action Ribbon for recording joint play with two or more members of Bravo Fleet.
* As there are many types of games out there, the following information must be recorded in these types of submissions:
** The name of the game;
** General genre information;
** How many rounds were played together; and
** How long the session was.
* Unlike other sections for Combat Action Ribbons, this particular section is decided on a case by case basis, as there is a very wide range of games that can be awarded for.
=== Tabletop Games ===
* These types of games are new, and cover traditionally played games played through our Discord.
* Writing can be involved, but dice and character generation would be part of this.
=== Combat Action Ribbons ===
* For participating in the play of a tabletop game, you can earn Combat Action Ribbons.
* As there are many types of games out there, the following information must be recorded in these types of submissions:
** The name of the game;
** General genre information;
** How many rounds were played together; and
** How long the session was.
* This will have an earning table posted as soon as we have sufficient data as to what an appropriate way to award these will be.

Latest revision as of 06:41, 4 September 2022

The Bravo Fleet Gaming Policy defines how gaming ribbons are awarded and which games are officially supported by the Gaming Office.

1 — Overview

  1. Bravo Fleet officially supports two video games:
    1. Star Trek Online
    2. World of Warships (PC Only)
  2. Gaming Nights are synchronous events organized by members under the coordination and approval of the Gaming Office.
    1. Information about organizing gaming nights is found in the Gaming Nights Guide.

2 — Gaming Awards

  1. As defined by the Office of the Chief of Staff, there are three awards related to gaming:
    1. Strategic Action Ribbons, awarded for solo gaming actions.
      1. Members may only earn 20 Combat Action Ribbons per day.
    2. Combat Action Ribbons, awarded for group gaming actions.
      1. Members may only earn 50 Combat Action Ribbons per day.
    3. Campaign Ribbons, awarded for meeting long-term gaming goals.
  2. Members earn gaming awards by submitting their gaming activity to the gaming activity form on the BFMS with a screenshot that clearly identifies the activity in question and the member(s) participating in it.
    1. Submissions for Combat Action Ribbons should only be made once per action, with one member submitting a screenshot, the BFMS IDs of the other members, and a list of which in-game handle or screen name matches each BFMS ID.
    2. Officially supported games have defined formulae for earning gaming awards.
    3. Groups of members may play non-supported games to earn Combat Action Ribbons, as described in Section 5.

3 — Star Trek Online

  1. Bravo Fleet has officially supported in-game fleets on PC (Federation and Klingon) and on XBOX (Klingon Only), which provide members with various resources and perks.
