Designed with many well-tested technologies, the Horizon and all of it’s sister ships were intended to replace the Excelsior as Starfleet’s standard ship-of-the-line, handling routine duties and patrols alongside the Reliant class light cruiser that it complements. Under the command of Captain Treylana Hess, she tasked with continued deep space exploration in areas such as the Delta Quadrant as a part of the Fourth Fleet’s Task Force 17.

Operational History

Currently stationed at Earth Spacedock, the Horizon is yet to set out on her maiden voyage while the captain and her crew take on some much needed R&R and transfer personnel after their recent mission in the Delta Quadrant forcing the USS Atlantia to return home for a much needed refit.

The son of Allen and Laraca Baldin who worked in his father’s barbershop on Betazed. As a young boy he met Alannah and they became friends. After his father retired, Al and Alannah continued to run the barbershop. After a few years they decided to leave Betazed. They made their way to StarBase Bravo where they started Timeless Styles.

Alannah comes from the El-Aurian homeworld, which was destroyed by the Borg and scattered their people throughout the galaxy. She is a beautify and cheerful female who places people at ease and provides a comfortable environment for others to share their joys and gossip. Over 45 years ago she met Edward Allen Baldin, a Betazoid Barber. From him she learned how to cut and style hair. Edward’s son Albert was very young when she first met him.

Timeless Styles is a place of relaxation and social interaction where one’s cosmetic needs are fulfilled.

Al with his Betazoid abilities and Alannah with her El- Aurian wisdom create an environment to help people unwind. Everyone is welcome to spoil themselves and indulge in a chance to get away from the noise and hassle of life on the starbase. Crew and commanding officers alike visit Timeless Styles to find a moment of peace and tranquility, perhaps even a shoulder to lean on.

Properly maintaining one’s hair and nails, fur or even scales is important. Throughout the galaxy the trade of caring for others is a long-held tradition. For thousands of years, barbers on Earth were highly regarded by society. Al & Alannah use old-fashioned scissors and devices to give patrons a more hands-on experience. Some advanced technology is employed to dye hair, color toenails, and even grow and or remove hair. They also provide many holo-spa programs.

LOCATION & LAYOUT

Timeless Styles is located on Level 2 of the hub in the middle of the Lower Promenade. As a major thoroughfare, many visitors and station inhabitants progressed through the Promenade.

The hub is home to the majority of the station's civilian population and the twin promenade levels. The Promenade comprised a large multi-level public space, with broad circular walkways extending in a full 360 degree ring around the upper levels of the station's central core.
