Located on the Federation’s shared border with the Breen Confederacy, the Vadlox Nebula is a Mutara class nebula. It spans a small section of the border, and any vessel that enters it has either been lost or has returned damaged.

Overview

The Vadlox Nebula has a high particle density which, without a robust structural integrity field or hull plating, could cause significant damage to a ship, causing a hull breach. In addition, low levels of subnucleonic radiation can be found in patches of the nebula. Though not fatal straight away, long-term exposure can cause injury to most humanoids and may result in death due to severe radiation burns.

Due to the combined high levels of static discharge and ionized gases, areas of the nebula can prevent a starship from using its sensors effectively, making the use of shields almost inoperable.

This article was written for the ‘Mining the Border’ mission in the Lost Fleet campaign, and is intended to be used for reference by that mission’s writer. The member may edit and update this article to reflect additional settings or story developments.
Members who are not part of the mission may refer to the nebula as a critical point within known space but should not include it in their storytelling without consulting the mission’s writer. It is, after all, being mined in that story.

-The ''Negh'Var'' is primarily unique from the previous cruisers in its lineage such as the ''K't'inga'' and ''Vor'cha''-classes by the two massive disruptor cannons on the underbelly of the ship. Tactically, these set the ''Negh'Var'' apart as being seige weapons against stationary targets be it planetary or starbases. The ''Negh'Var'' was the first Klingon ship to have such weaponry built into the design at inception, whereas previous classes would need to have such weaponry specially mounted for a specific mission profile.
