''“If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.”'' ― Carl Sagan

After the devastating events of [[ma:Battle_of_Wolf_359|Wolf 359]], Starfleet revised its starship design philosophy to fortify its military strength. Out of this new era came several new vessels with that idea behind in mind, including the Norway-class.
# Bravo Fleet has officially supported in-game fleets for Star Trek Online (STO) on PC (both factions), on XBOX and on PlayStation (Federation Only), which provide members with various resources and perks.
# Members may also earn ribbons for STO gaming in factions or on platforms where Bravo Fleet does not maintain an official presence.

A light cruiser, the ''USS North Sea'' (NCC-64904) was fitted for science and diplomatic missions. While she lacked the firepower of her sister classes, the Akira, the Saber and the Defiant, she was a jack-of-all-trades by design. The North Sea saw a number of second contant missions, acted as an escort for numerous dignitaries and aided in evacuation efforts during both the Dominion War and the Romulan crisis. Stationed at [[Starbase 4]], the North Sea was assigned to [https://bravofleet.com/group/task-force-72 Taskforce 72] in 2400.
=== 1.1 - STO In-Game Fleet Management ===

== History ==
# Bravo Fleet maintains fleets for the following factions/platforms:
The USS North Sea was commissioned in 2371 and launched in 2373 from the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. After an initial shakedown cruise under Captain Donov, the USS North Sea was tasked as a flag ship during the Federation-Klingon War. The vessel operated as a mobile HQ for the Federation until the conflict ended.
## PC - Federation - ''Bravo Fleet''
## PC - Klingon - ''House of yo’ loS''
## PlayStation - Federation - ''Bravo Fleet''
## XBOX - Federation - ''Alteran Royal Navy Bravo Fleet''

===== 2373 - 2375 =====
# Members may join an in-game fleet with one or more in-game characters, also known as “alts” or “toons”, by requesting to do so in the Bravo Fleet Discord channel #sto-char-mgmt.
During the Dominion War the USS North Sea was regulated to humanitarian duties and rarely saw combat outside a small skirmish with foolhardy pirates. Captain Donov, a Vulcan CSO prior to his promotion, was content to serve on the sidelines conducting scientific and diplomatic duties.
## Characters that do not log in at least once every six months will be removed from the in-game fleets to ensure there are enough slots for all members.
## Members who transfer to the Reserves voluntarily or through the AWOL process will have their characters removed from the in-game fleets.
## Character in-game biographies for STO characters are not required, but are encouraged.
# In-Game rank is based off of the rank achieved in Bravo Fleet, though it is not exact due to limitations of the game engine on providing only a set amount of ranks:
## All members will get promoted to a rank approximate to their BFMS ranking, with the following levels:
### Cadet/Bekk - Cadet ranks
### Junior Officer - Midshipman to Lieutenant
### Senior Officer - Lieutenant Commander to Fleet Captain
### Flag Officer - Commodore and Above
## As there is no automated connection to BFMS for ranks, the positions will be audited periodically to update listed ranks
### If there is a character of yours and you do not see the assigned promotion list please mention in #sto-char-mgmt
# Permissions for each in-game rank are assigned at the discretion of the Security Office, and all members have access to:
## Purchase from provisioned fleet stores and fleet shipyards
## Visit fleet holdings
## Invite non-members to fleet holdings
## Use of the Fleet Bank, the degree of which is determined based on rank

===== 2375 - 2378 =====
=== 1.2 - STO Awards ===
After Donov retired, the USS North Sea fell into the hands of Captain Ronald Ho, a veteran of the Dominion War. Ho was more than happy to steer the ship toward a purely scientific vessel and conducted numerous second contact missions.

===== 2378 - 2397 =====
# Bravo Fleet uses the following awards in Star Trek Online:
For nearly a decade, the North Sea became a stepping stone for commanders straight out of the academy. An unofficial training ship, she saw six command changes during that time. Likewise with the crew as the vessel became a revolving door for fresh recruits.
## Campaign Ribbons
## Joint Action Ribbons
## Combat Action Ribbons

# A qualifying submission for this award should contain a screenshot showing the character's name, level and the activity completed as applicable, as well as the character's name in the gaming activity form's text box.

2400 - Present
==== 1.2.2 - STO Joint Action Ribbons ====
Without a captain, the senior officer on board, Commander Xertes Tles and Chief Engineer, was set to take command of the USS North Sea. Designated as a training vessel, the ship was unexpectedly detoured to Starbase 4 and assigned to Taskforce 72 under the Command of Captain Charlotte Fawkes. Formerly of the USS Leda, a Luna-class starship, Fawkes hoped to steer the ship into more of a lightweight explorer.

== Design & Layout ==
# Joint Action Ribbons for STO gaming are earned by playing Star Trek Online in a group of Bravo Fleet members against environments and sometimes players too.
# Activities include:
## Task Force Operations or Special Task Forces
## Patrols
## Red Alerts
## Daily missions
## Story missions
## Battlezones
# A qualifying submission for this award should contain a screenshot with proof that a qualifying action has been completed.
## Multiple actions of the same type should be submitted as a single submission whenever possible, as long as the same number of participants are in each instance.
## When submitting multiple screenshots of different types of content, each content type (Normal TFOs, Advanced TFOs, Story Missions, etc.) must be submitted separately.
## When submitting for battlezones, since this is a time-based submission, you must provide a screenshot of your start time in the battlezone and a screenshot of the end time. Rewards will be calculated at a rate of 4 Joint Action Ribbons per hour of game play, with one hour minimum being required for submission.
# Joint Action Ribbons are awarded based on the following formula, where the multipliers change by the table below:
Number of Screenshots x Member Multiplier x Content Multiplier = Total Ribbons

# Activities include:
## PvP Task Force Operations menu option under the minimap.
## Competitive Reputation TFOs
# A qualifying submission for this award should contain a screenshot with proof that a qualifying action has been completed, in this instance the final scoreboard at the end of the match.
# Combat Action Ribbons are awarded based on the following formula, where the multipliers change by the table below:

The ready room aboard a starship was the commanding officer’s personal space and was used primarily for private matters affecting the ship. The CO would hold individual meetings and view confidential or sensitive material. In addition, the office could double as an HQ for any flag officer on board.

On a Norway-class vessel, the Captain’s ready room was located aft of the main bridge. The office space included a triangular-shaped desk with a swivel chair, two seats for visitors, a curved couch and coffee table, a replicator, and personal decor.
== 2 - World of Warships ==

The Captain’s workstation (desk) typically included a desktop monitor with space for a PADD and refreshments. In addition, a curved shelf sat behind the desk and had a few personal items from the CO. Other personal items were arranged throughout the room.
# Bravo Fleet has an officially supported presence on the North American PC server for World of Warships (WoWS), using the tag [4BF].
# Members may join the clan by searching for [4BF] or "4th Fleet - Bravo Fleet" and requesting to join in-game, or by requesting an invite on the Discord channel #worldofwarships-invites
# Members in the clan may contribute oil from crates to the fleet base.

Captain Charlotte Fawkes of the USS North Sea made the room her own with only a few light touches. On her shelf, she included a few of her favorite books, including A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, Galileo's Daughter: A Historical Memoir of Science, Faith, and Love, Sidereus Nuncius by Galileo Galilei, The Glass Universe by Dava Sobel, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Meteorite bookends separated the editions.
=== 2.1 - World of Warships Fleet Management ===

Plant decor spruced the room with a banzai tree on the coffee table and a white orchid on the bookshelf. A philodendron sat in the corner adjacent to the replicator and opposite a metal sculpture of the ship.
# All members will join in as members, with the staff being determined based on the determination of the Security Office.
# As there are Clan Battles, any member wishing to organize one may do so at any time.

The doorway aft of the room led directly to the CO’s private quarters. As Captain Fawkes was engaged, the room was rearranged as a small apartment.
=== 2.2 - World of Warships Awards ===

===== Engineering =====
# Bravo Fleet uses the following awards in World of Warships:
[[File:Engieering3.jpg|450px|thumb|left|Warp core for the '''USS North Sea''' / image credit: Tadeo D'Oria (https://tadeodoria.com/)
## Campaign Ribbons
]]
## Joint Action Ribbons
Designed for diplomacy, for its time, the Norway-class was a fast ship with a maximum warp of 9.7. Consequently, the vessel was often a base of operations for diplomats and dignitaries; therefore, a swift exit might be needed.
## Combat Action Ribbons
# Members may earn gaming ribbons for World of Warships if they are not in the in-game clan or on the NA server, but only on PC.
## The console version of World of Warships is a different game altogether with unique balancing and differing ship tiers; therefore it is not supported at this time.

Main engineering was located on the ship’s primary hull, and the ship's propulsion and power center contained the warp core (matter/anti-matter reaction drive). Accessible from deck four’s aft corridor, engineering consisted of two levels. The first level housed the warp core access, whereas the upper level was designated for power allocation. In an emergency, control of the ship could be diverted to LCARS workstations.
==== 2.2.1 - World of Warships Campaign Ribbons ====

The warp drive was steady thrum. The ghostly blue-white matter-antimatter reaction strummed through the core. Two power transfer conduits that moved plasma to the nacelles extended from the core. In addition, two plasma coolant ducts were located directly behind the reactor.
# Campaign Ribbons for World of Warships gaming are earned by:
## Purchasing with Ship XP/Free XP and silver a Tier VI-X ship, once per country tech tree per tier, through regular means or an Early Access event.
### Ships purchased with Doubloons, coal, steel or real-world money may not be submitted for Campaign Ribbons.
## Purchasing with XP and silver a super ship marked with a star in a country's tech tree, which will award three Campaign Ribbons per ship earned.
# A qualifying submission for this award should contain a screenshot showing the country tech tree with the unlocked branch, with at least one of the branches showing either a checkmark or a silver currency value beside the one being submitted for in the country tree.

The core was housed in an isolation chamber in case of a breach and surrounded by a latticed metal grating. The grating continued outward and isolated the master systems display from the rest of main engineering. The MSD was an LCARS-based cutaway console where engineers could monitor and troubleshoot systems throughout the ship. The ship’s MSD sat forward to the warp core.
==== 2.2.3 - World of Warships Joint Action Ribbons ====

The port side to the main level included LCARS workstations that could transfer con, ops, and tactical control to engineering. Beside these workstations were an industrial replicator and the port Jeffries tube. A wall-mounted MSD and two main isolinear chip panels sat adjacent to the Chief Engineer’s office on the starboard side.
# Joint Action Ribbons for World of Warships gaming are earned by groups of members by completing any PvE battles, including:
## Co-Op Battles
## Operations
## Asymmetric Battles
# A qualifying submission for this award should contain a screenshot with proof that a qualifying action has been completed, either with the scoreboard or combat summary, with the BFMS IDs and Handles of all of the members involved.
## Multiple actions with the same group of members may be submitted together as a single submission, but there should be a different submission for each type of battle and if different numbers of players are involved.
# Joint Action Ribbons counts for each gaming submission are calculated with the following formula, using the values in the table below:
Number of Battles Submitted x Member Multiplier x Content Modifier x Win/Loss Modifier = Total Ribbons

The upper level, accessed from a grated ladder, included the Assitant Chief Engineer’s workstation and propulsion systems status display. A small lounge and cargo area sat on either side of the Deck 3 corridor access.

The aesthetics of main engineering were more relaxed in tone than the rest of the ship, with blue hues utilized in combination with the paper white walls. Lighting was abundant but kept at a neutral setting, neither too bright nor too dim. Temperatures were similar to the shipwide setting at 23℃. Chief Engineer Tles, a Tellarite, often found the shipwide temps too cold and compromised for engineering.

## Random
Primarily designed for diplomatic service, the Norway-class vessel employed a full conference suite for visiting dignitaries and diplomats. The ship included a conference table and chairs, a large monitor, simple lighting, a replicator, and a few unoffensive enmities. But, as the North Sea often catered to conflicting interests, neutrality was imperative, even in decor.

# Combat Action Ribbons counts for each gaming submission are calculated with the following formula, using the values in the table below:
  Number of Battles Submitted x Member Multiplier x Content Modifier x Win/Loss Modifier = Total Ribbons

The suite, located on deck 9, was sparsely decorated with a neutral aesthetic for carpet and walls. Likewise, the conference table was sparse, measuring 13 feet by 34 inches. Made from polycarbonate, the shape of the table was unassuming. Ten swivel chairs, also neutral in color and design, orbited the table.

The monitor could display up to 50 embedded screens for delegates to attend meetings remotely. Each screen could focus on a select diplomat. The port bulkhead, opposite the monitor, featured four windows. As the North Sea was constructed with an extra layer of armor, the vessel sported few windows; those in the diplomatic suite were considered a luxury. Other amenities were few and included black and white photographs of landscapes.
== 3 - Star Trek Infinite ==

In service, a Yeoman would attend to the replicator and offered delegates whatever they desired in the form of refreshments.
# Star Trek Infinite is a 4D strategy game by Paradox Interactive that, beginning in the mid 24th century, gets you to play as one of the major powers you see in Star Trek to become the dominant force in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. It heavily borrows off the framework of Stellaris, but has unique elements to make this a Star Trek game through and through.
# Bravo Fleet supports gameplay and allows players to earn achievements through gameplay.
