The sturdy little starship has seen many an exciting mission during her service to Starfleet and looks forward to many more years of service under the daring captains of the United Federation. In 2399, the ''Tesla'' had a crew of around 100, most of whom were Scientists, though its new commander, Captain Michael Ryder himself was not a scientist. Instead, his skill and history were in tactics and battles, making the ''Tesla'' able to hold her own when starting her mission to the Delta Quadrant.  The ''Tesla'' visited the quadrant to conduct complex scientific research.
