Class Description

Ferengi Shuttle Pod Cockpit

The Ferengi Shuttle pod is a smaller version of the Ferengi Shuttle and fills the same role on Ferengi ships as the shuttle pods on Starfleet vessels. The shuttle pod is a small two person craft that is limited to impulse speeds and there for is only to be used in travel withing a single star system. The shuttle pod is capable of making planetary landings and returning to orbit.

Outwardly there is no visual difference between the shuttle and shuttle pod other than the size difference. The interior of the the Shuttle pod is divided into two sections with a bulkhead between them. The forward section is a small cockpit with stations for the pilot and copilot.The aft section is primary dedicated to the crafts systems such as life support, impulse engines, and communications systems. There is also a storage locker in the aft compartment for holding emergency supplies.

The shuttle pod is most often seen in use as support craft for the larger D'Kora Class Marauder and Ferengi orbital facilities.
