The USS Dvorak serves as a Springfield-class science vessel assigned to Fourth Fleet. With a crew complement of two hundred, and the largest distribution of them science officers, the USS Dvorak operates as a mobile research platform. The ship’s mission module has been configured for the social sciences — specializing in mission of archaeology and anthropology.  As a purpose-built science ship, the Springfield-class’ specialized laboratories are available for nearly every scientific sub-division, each of them conducting independent research beyond the ship’s primary missions. Constructed in the expansive heydays of the mid-24th century, the Dvorak is a ship designed for comfort, maintaining its retro-resort aesthetic in carpeted surfaces and natural woods. The crew culture matches the interiors: as a whole, they tend to respect whomever has the most published articles, rather than who wears the most rank pips.
The USS Jaxartes is a Raven-class multi-mission light starship.

Bridge
A new batch of Ensigns gets assigned to the Raven-class vessel named USS Jaxartes. Their mission is to expand further exploration of the Typhon Frontier in areas that Starfleet designates as safe zones. Ensign Praugol, assigned to the USS Jaxartes as its designated Captain, finds itself with a ship half-ready for the long journey. She has to get the crew, the supplies, and the ship working again as Starfleet was on a tied budget when this was approved.
Because the crown jewels of the USS Dvorak are its science laboratories, this ship's utilitarian bridge configuration would be seen more commonly as a battle bridge aboard other starships of its generation. This bridge module allows for deck one to contain a larger observation lounge, head, captain's ready room, and a laboratory off the bridge.

The captain sits alone in the centre seat.  The two seated consoles ahead of the captain's chair are configured for Science I and Flight Control. Ringing the stern of the bridge are four freestanding LCARS consoles, facing the viewscreen. Clockwise, the stations are configured as Engineering/Operations, Tactical, Mission Ops, and Science II.
Ship's Tour
Captain's Ready Room
The Captain's Ready Room, also known as the briefing room, can be found on deck two behind the bridge because the size of the Raven Class is a relatively small briefing room. In addition, it is located in the middle of the ship, meaning it has no outside view. However, Ensign Valerio installed a holographic window that gives a real-time exterior view. Ensign Valerio gave it as a birthday gift to his Captain. In addition, the ship has some plants that contribute to the liveliness of the room.

Engineering
The Captain's desk stands on the right side against the wall when entering the briefing room. It looks like a handcrafted table with the color of walnut brown, and it has grain patrons onto the wood to give uniqueness to the desk itself. The desk has two side drawers and a center drawer with a built-in holographic keyboard. When the center drawer is pulled out, the keyboard activates.
Powered by an older-style warp core than those of its generation, the Springfield-class warp core is mounted horizontally in the underslung engineering hull on deck 14.

Mission Module
On the desk, you will find a group picture of Ensign Praugol and her academy class of 2392. Some scientific accessories such as a Vulcan Dust Globe, a planet mug that shows Federation Founders' planets, and when heated, it offers more astronomic details of those planets. On the side, a Newton Cradle Balance stands that keeps ticking. On the wall, you will find the screen and on its sides two posters that can be changed to any galaxy or star system. Most of the accessories on the desk are there as presents for Sazra, though in her fair opinion, they should have a function, or they shouldn't belong on the desk at all.
Located on the aft dorsal section of the ship, the mission module is secured between the nacelles and above the shuttlebay. The pod contains two decks of specialised archaeology and anthropology laboratories, equipment and storage.  Equipment includes facilities to fabricate novel probes and a dedicated mission computer core, operating with bioneural processing.

On the upper deck of the mission module, the archaeology lab offers teaming and individual LCARS consoles, specialised scanner equipment, a thermoluminescence chamber, and storage areas for scientific observation and experimentation in the field of archaeology.
Praugol receives guests in the Briefing Room on her brown couch. She will sit most of the time in her desk chair and turns around to the guest to begin their conversation. A small round table between them can be used for drinks or for placing some PADDs.

Operational History
The Observation Lounge
At the back of the ship, you will find the Observation Lounge on deck 2. When entering through a small door on the far right side (when coming from the bridge), you will see a long light-brown oak table on the left side, shaped in a stretch-out circle. The chairs are custom designed to those you will find in most Starfleet vessels. However, these chairs are also the same soft color as the table. In the middle of the table, you will find a holographic 3D device that can project any ship, planet, or astronomical object shown during a mission briefing.

Launch
On the wall, there are paintings of various famous exploration ships. One of those is the USS Enterprise. On the other side, you will find big windows that show the back of the ship and a great view of space itself. It is said that Ensign T'path was mostly found here, as it brought her calmness while practicing her Vulcan meditation. While on the floor before the window, you will find a classic earth-designed carpet with that dark red color.
USS Dvorak was launched in 2352, on Stardate 29411.2, upon its construction in the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on Mars.

2398-2399
Back at the entree on the right, you will find a corner for one person to sit and relax. Dr. Ruslanovna has the hobby of creating something of every mission in the form of a beautiful painting. It is in this corner that these small paintings are hanging.
USS Dvorak underwent its fifth refit and shakedown, under the command of long-time Captain Aloysius Sefton and newly promoted Executive Officer Commander Elbon Jakkelb. Dvoraks shakedown was Sefton's final mission before retirement.

Main Engineering
At the dawn of 2400, USS Dvorak was diverted from its shakedown cruise to support humanitarian efforts during the Century Storm.  In the aftermath of the Century Storm, Commander Taes was assigned to Dvorak as a Senior Mission Officer.  Dvoraks mission module was staffed with a team of archaeologists from Starbase 72, serving as the first responders to the Trill colony of New Tenar.
From deck 1 to 3 you will find in the middle of the ship the heart of all its power, the main engineering. When entering the engineering, you will hear the humming and buzzing sound of the warp-core, like a purring little kitty. Within the engineering, you will find various tools and monitoring console to keep the flow of energy in control. Most of the ship had to be rebuilt, and the engineering was no exception from it, so even thought it is an aged ship that has seen quite a bit it has newer equipment.

As first responders, Taes' team conducted the death scene investigations of any citizens who were left behind by Starfleet's evacuation of the planet during the ion storms. While the medical officers confirmed cause of death, the archaeologists investigated the social and structural vulnerabilities that may have contributed to exactly who had died during the evacuation, and why they had died, rather than the thousands of others who escaped.

Following the death scene investigations, Commander Taes’ team completed an archaeological study of the city to identify heritage sites of historical and cultural importance. Although there were some irregularities in the chain of custody in some of the data, the archaeology team identified the heritage sites in need of preservation and restoration, when the government of New Tenar rebuilds Vrans City.

Upon the completion of Dvoraks shakedown cruise, Starfleet Command named Captain Taes the commanding officer of the science ship Dvorak.  In her maiden voyage, Captain Taes investigated the looting of an archaeological site on Camus II by True Way pirates.  Following a trip to the planet’s surface, the crew’s mission was jeoparized when Captain Taes returned to Dvorak as a changed woman. (And she wasn't the the only one.)  The entire away team were body swapped by ancient and dangerous technology in disrepair.  Only through studying the previous archaeological surveys completed by Starfleet and investigating the technology further were Captain Taes and Lieutenant Yuulik able to return the away team to their own bodies.

Let Them Eat Cake
When the Velorum Sector declares itself a free state, USS Dvorak is tasked with bringing food security to Remans on the refinery planet, Kunhri III, which has been cut off from all sources of food.
