Bravo Fleet Infobase:Code of Conduct

In an effort to limit misleading and inflammatory content, Bravo Fleet has developed a Code of Conduct for the Infobase Team. All members who use the Infobase are bound by the Code of Conduct and the rules explained below.

General Guidelines

  • Only Members of the Infobase Team and the Bravo Fleet Admiralty can edit articles on the Infobase. If you'd like to join the team, please contact the Bravo Fleet Logistics Officer.
  • Users must be logged in before editing.
  • Be mindful that the Infobase is a collective project, with many users able to edit nearly every article. Don’t feel bad if your edits get changed.
  • Disagreements happen. When they do, try to be civil.
  • Remember – we’re all just people. We all make mistakes from time to time.
  • When faced with a problem, ask the Infobase Adjutant or Logistics Officer.

Editing Behavior

  • Registered users will have access to add and edit content, but may be restricted from any article at any time. Article Talk pages should explain any denied access, except in the case of any BF Official Document. Official documents can only be changed by Administrators or the Command Council.
  • Members are encouraged to write articles from a factual basis, with as little personal influence as possible. Sometimes this is unavoidable, in that the facts stir emotional debates or an opposing viewpoint. However, no member is to use these articles as a launchpad for their personal vendettas. Creating or editing articles for the purpose of defaming any part of Bravo Fleet will result in the loss of the user's privileges.
  • Infobase Vandalism will not be tolerated. Vandalism is generally defined as editing a wiki in a way that is intentionally disruptive or destructive. There are four generally acknowledged types of vandalism: deletion of legitimate information, insertion of nonsense or irrelevant content, addition of unwanted commercial links (spam), and policy violations specific to that wiki. Members who participate in Vandalism will have their content removed, receive a warning, and will likely be removed from the team.
  • Disagreements should be discussed on the article’s Talk page, not on the main article.


  • The Infobase is a resource for Bravo Fleet. Try not to create articles about every single thing that already exist in the Star Trek Universe. External links to the Memory Alpha are acceptable.
  • New articles should only be created after proper research has been conducted to ensure that the subject has not been covered.
  • All pages critical to the operation of Bravo Fleet simms - for example, the Ship & Base Specifications - shall not be edited except by order of the Ship Specifications Committee.


  • Any development with an organization, planet or event that was explored in Bravo Fleet Canon and our Member Simulations.
  • Any original organization, planet, species or event that was created by our Member Simulations and Players.
  • Direct interwiki links to link to Memory Alpha contents, such as Fizzbin are acceptable.

Not Permitted

  • Any character that is not a Fleet-Level NPC (such as the Starfleet Joint Chiefs of Staff) or a Bravo Fleet Admiralty Character.
  • Any simulation that is not on the Simm Distinction List.
  • Any entry which is basically a duplicate of its Memory Alpha counterpart.
  • Any entry of an established character in official Star Trek canon unless approved by the Bravo Fleet Command Council.
  • Any entry that does not fall within Bravo Fleet Canon (such as events in Task Force 99).


  • To maintain continuity, article titles are expected to be written in American English.
  • Articles should be written in American English, despite user’s country of origin.
  • All articles are subject to corrective action without warning for any of the following:
    • Spelling/Grammar
    • Formatting (text or images)
    • Administrative issues (such as Category inclusion/exclusion)
